Daring Dave & the Eye of Ra

Daring Dave & the Eye of Ra sends an Indiana Jones-style explorer into the Valley of the Kings, with pyramids and dunes behind reels full of beetles, lions and the gods Thoth, Anubis and Horus. Playtech gave it 5 reels and 20 paylines, medium volatility and a 95.178% RTP.

Dave is the wild: he expands on reels 2, 3 and 4 and pays up to 5,000 coins for five. Pyramids on reels 1 and 5 start a three-stage quest – crack a stone door, spin a wheel, then choose a pedestal for the final prize. Stakes run from €0.01 to €50 with a top win of €500,000. A story-led adventure slot for players who enjoy a bonus game with several levels.

Desert dunes and pyramids fill the background, and the mix of Egyptian gods with a treasure-hunting hero gives the game a different feel from most slots with this theme. A soundtrack accompanies play, the control bar sits under the reels, and the game runs in the browser.

The beetle, the lion, Thoth, Anubis and Horus are the high-value symbols, paying 20 coins for three and up to 750 coins for five. Card ranks A to 10 pay 5 to 100 coins. Bets are set in the control bar, from €0.01 to €50 per spin.

There are 20 paylines, and some symbols already pay for two in a row. Dave the wild is the top symbol, returning 5,000 coins for five on a line.

• Expanding wild: Dave substitutes for every symbol except the scatter and bonus icons and expands when he lands on reels 2, 3 or 4.
• Eye of Ra scatter: pays from 1x the total bet for two up to 125x for five.
• Quest for the Eye of Ra: pyramid symbols on reels 1 and 5 trigger it. Stage 1: pick from 8 stones and find 3 Eye of Ra hieroglyphs to open the door. Stage 2: three spins of a wheel; land on the Eye of Ra three times to move on. Stage 3: one pick from a row of pedestals, each holding a cash prize, one of them the maximum prize.
