Fear the Bear

Fear the Bear heads into the Australian outback, where a bird, a koala, a platypus, a dragon and a frog fill reels carved into a tree trunk, with a lake and rock outcrops behind them. Playtech built it on 5 reels, 4 rows and 50 paylines, with medium volatility and a 96.5% RTP.

The koala wild lands on reels 2, 3 and 4, and when four koalas fill a reel they drop over it as a full wild reel on the next spin – in the base game and in free spins alike. Three or more scatters pay up to 25,000 coins and award up to 25 free spins, which can be retriggered. With bets from €0.01 to €100 and a top win of €3,768,000, it suits a broad range of stakes.

The reel frame is shaped like a tree, with a lake and rocky outcrops in the outback scenery behind it. A soundtrack accompanies play, the control bar sits underneath, and the game runs in the browser without a download.

The five animals are the premium symbols, paying from 250 coins for three up to 1,250 coins for five. Card ranks 9 to A pay 150 to 300 coins. Stakes are set in the control bar, between €0.01 and €100 per spin.

The 5x4 grid carries 50 paylines, and a win needs at least three matching symbols on a line. The scatter is the most valuable symbol, paying up to 25,000 coins.

• Koala wild: appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 and substitutes for all symbols except the scatter.
• Wild drop: four koalas on one reel drop down over it on the next spin, turning the whole reel wild. It works in the base game and during free spins.
• Scatter and free spins: three or more scatters pay up to 25,000 coins and trigger up to 25 free spins. The round can be retriggered, and the wild drop keeps collecting throughout.
