The Epic Journey

The Epic Journey is a Quickspin slot inspired by Jules Verne's tale of a journey to the centre of the Earth, played on three separate 5x3 reel sets with 100 paylines in total. Three gentlemen and two ladies lead the paytable through a world of volcanoes and hidden treasure, with medium volatility and stakes from 0.8 € to 80 € per spin.

Two or three volcano wilds erupt and spread wilds across all three grids, while three bonus symbols open a rune-stone pick game that awards safari free spins, a fossil hunt, a mushroom forest or a coin win. The RTP is 96.54 % and the payout table lists a top win of 506 €, so it suits players who value variety over high ceilings.

The Epic Journey is based on Jules Verne's famous story of an expedition to the centre of the Earth. The adventure leads past dangerous volcanoes in search of lost treasures, and the three side-by-side reel sets give the game a unique look that sets it apart from standard slots.

The command bar sits at the bottom of the screen, making stake changes simple, and a soundtrack plays throughout. The graphics load smoothly in a web browser, with no software download needed.

This is a medium-variance slot. It pays smaller wins between spins at a steady pace, while bigger results need patience. With three grids in play, there is plenty happening on every spin, which suits both newcomers and experienced players.

The paytable is divided into two groups:

• Characters: three gentlemen and two ladies, the premium symbols. Three on a payline pay from up to 10 coins, and five pay up to 100 coins.
• Gems: stones in different colours, the low-paying symbols, from up to 3 coins for three to up to 20 coins for five.
• Wild: the top-paying symbol.
• Volcano wild and free spins wilds: special wilds linked to the features, including mammoth, sea creature and T-rex wilds in the free spins.
• Bonus symbol: opens the pick feature.

Before spinning, players set their stake in the command bar. The payout table lists a minimum of 0.8 € and a maximum of 80 € per spin, and autoplay can repeat spins at the chosen stake.

The Epic Journey plays across three reel sets at once, with 100 paylines in total. A payout needs at least three matching symbols on a payline.

The wild is the best symbol in the game: five on a payline pay up to 500 coins, five times the best character symbol. Because the volcano wild spreads wilds across all three grids, one eruption can create wins on several reel sets in the same spin.

The features continue the expedition:

• Wild: substitutes for every symbol except the bonus scatter, the volcano wild and the free spins mammoth, sea creature and T-rex wilds. Five on a line pay up to 500 coins.
• Volcano wild feature: landing two or three volcano wilds makes the volcano erupt and spread wild symbols across all three reel grids.
• Bonus pick: three bonus symbols trigger a pick feature in which players choose a rune stone.
• Possible rewards: the rune stone reveals one of four bonuses: safari free spins, a fossil hunt, a mushroom forest or a coin win.

The pick feature gives each bonus a different outcome, so no two sessions feel the same, while the volcano wild adds sudden bursts of action to the base game.
