Company background
Len Ainsworth founded Ainsworth Game Technology in 1995 with the aim of becoming a leading maker and supplier of gaming products. The company is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, has offices in North and South America and operates worldwide.
Unlike studios that only make video slots, Ainsworth began as a manufacturer of physical slot machines and still is one. Its machines are found in more than 50 countries and are known for their classic feel and familiar sounds on every spin and win. The Ambassador model, with large screens and rich animation, is often cited as a machine that changed the industry.
In recent years, Ainsworth has expanded online. Its video slots now reach players on desktops, laptops, tablets and phones.

Online slot portfolio
Online, Ainsworth makes video slots only. The catalogue is smaller than those of the biggest online suppliers but still includes more than 70 titles, and the company says it has more than 50 games in development each year. The content is approved by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and the UK Gambling Commission, and it has been offered through 35 online operators.
Many of the slots have a deliberately old-school look and are less flashy than some rivals' games. Plenty of players prefer that vintage style, though the themes could be more varied. You can see an example in our catalogue: Arabian Rose.
Player favourites
The catalogue is not the largest, but it includes games with several bonus rounds and options. Two titles regularly rank among the studio's best:
Amazon Gold
A five-reel jungle adventure with 30 fixed paylines and animal symbols. The wild substitutes for other symbols and multiplies wins, while scatters unlock a bonus with up to 10 free spins. RTP is 96.54% and the maximum win is 100x the bet.
Wild Nights
A slice of 1970s disco, with neon lights inspired by a famous New York nightclub, on five reels with 25 paylines. Free spins can reach 25, and any five-of-a-kind win triggers the Crazy Jackpot Bonus with a random jackpot. RTP is 94.02% with medium variance.
Technology and mobile play
Ainsworth uses modern technology for both land-based and online products. Most of its online games are built in JavaScript and HTML5, so they run on desktop and mobile. The controls are simple and uncluttered, with easy mechanics and rewarding payouts.
On mobile, the slots scale to any screen without losing picture or sound quality. They play on smartphones and tablets, including iPads, and work on iOS, Android and Windows.
Bonus features
Ainsworth slots include free spins, multipliers, bonus games and linked jackpots. Many casinos build welcome offers and player rewards around them. You can add loyalty schemes, tournaments and other gamified rewards on top with our standalone bonus system.
Licensing, security and fairness
A quarter of a century in regulated gaming depends on security and fair play. Ainsworth's slots are licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and Curaçao eGaming. Current encryption and firewalls protect player data, and an RNG makes every spin random.
