Web Wallet in online payments: e-wallets and crypto wallets

A web wallet is an online wallet. It serves the same purpose as the wallet in your pocket, with one obvious difference: instead of being a physical object, it is software that lives online. The term covers two different kinds of product.

The first is the e-wallet, used to hold and move everyday fiat currency; well-known examples include Skrill, PayPal and Neteller. The second is the crypto wallet, a program that stores public and private keys and interacts with a blockchain to send and receive cryptocurrency. Both do the same basic job, so when you use the term in conversation it helps to say which type of web wallet you mean.

E-wallets usually offer fast deposits and withdrawals, which players value highly, while crypto wallets open the door to crypto-native audiences. Offering both, through our payments and crypto payment solutions, lets players pay with the method they already trust.
