Worldline Through the Years
Worldline started out in 1973 as a subsidiary of Atos and became a pioneer of electronic payment systems. In the 1990s it moved into online payments and built its first internet solutions, and in 2006 it bought the Belgian payment processors Banksys and BCC to push further into the European market.
In 2014 Worldline became an independent company listed on Euronext Paris, which opened a new phase of growth. Two years later it acquired Equens and launched Trust 2020, its CSS programme. The purchase of SIX Payment Services in 2018 widened its reach and cemented its place in European markets as a leading payment services provider.
Between 2020 and 2022 the company kept expanding through acquisitions, including Ingenico and payment processors in Greece, Italy and the Nordic countries. Today it continues to invest in secure, efficient and user-friendly payment solutions for online casino operators.
