Affiliate — iGaming marketing term explained

An affiliate is a partner that sends customers to another business and is paid for the results. In iGaming, casino affiliates run review sites, comparison pages, streams, newsletters or paid campaigns, and every player who signs up through their tracked link is credited to them.

Commission models depend on the agreement. The most common are revenue share, a percentage of the net revenue a referred player generates; CPA, a one-off payment for each qualifying depositor; and hybrid deals that combine the two.

For an operator, affiliates can be a major acquisition channel, so attribution has to be exact from the first click: campaign codes, landing pages and sub-campaigns all need to map to the right partner.
