The layout is the design printed on the felt or cloth that covers a casino table: the betting boxes, number grid, card positions and payout reminders that show players where to put their chips and how the game works. Every table game has its own. A roulette layout splits inside and outside bets, a baccarat layout marks the player, banker and tie areas, and a blackjack layout often prints rules such as “Insurance pays 2 to 1”.
Layouts differ from game to game, and sometimes from one casino or manufacturer to another. Online, the word usually means the betting interface that recreates the felt on screen. In RNG and live games, a clear layout that adapts to small screens makes it quicker for players to find and place their bets.
